Who I’m Voting For In The 2024 General Election

Before I tell you who I’m voting for in the 2024 General Election, if the cover hasn’t given it away, a reminder of what I believe in. I Am A Liberal I am a liberal. I believe in social liberalism – the right to live your life how you want to, to be free to make the choices within the construct of society (ie you are not free to not pay tax, for example) and law (ie you are not free to steal, etc). I believe in personal responsibility – you have freedom but also you are responsible for your …

Labour’s Spin Machine Is Back

Remember Labour’s spin machine?  Do you remember when our country was run by the likes of Alastair Campbell and Peter Mandelson?  It’s back in fine form, with outright lies and disgusting false accusations, this time over spending on the disabled. I’ll outline some facts first, followed by some opinion and a likely outcome. Priorities For Government

I had an e-mail recently from the Tories asking me what my top 3 priorities for this country are. I think I picked housing, deficit/debt and welfare.  I cannot remember for definite, it doesn’t really matter for this post. Ed Miliband and our whole team here are clear: our policies and vision for Britain must be grounded in the ideas, lives and views of as many Labour supporters as possible. As of now, that includes …

What Exactly Did I Do In A Previous Life?

So I decide to take a short lunch break, however as I approach the exit of my employers beautiful building, the bus pulls away. A full 5 minutes early. So I walk to the Basingstoke Road to get a different bus, two minutes away from the bus stop and yes the bus goes by. No point in running for it. But if I had have done so, I would at least have got the other bus following behind. It seems the world likes to poke fun at me sometimes. Not quite sure what I did in a past life. I only took a …

Labour Going Bankrupt?

Oh what a wonderful outcome that would be if the Labour party itself went bankrupt. The party that when in government, contrived to do everything they possibly could to bankrupt the country just to keep themselves in power, and to keep their selfish desires alive – for them to go bankrupt would go some way to compensate for all the economic pain that we are going through thanks to their disastrous mismanagement of the country’s finances. You can see how desperate it is, with them trying to create news stories to unsettle the Liberal Democrats, such as Charles Kennedy allegedly …
