No. I guess I should expand upon my conclusion. Noises have been coming from Russia recently and exaggerated in certain elements of the UK/US press that the Russians are preparing for nuclear war – or more accurately, preparing for the west to attack it. Russia has continued to make threatening noises – recently moving nuclear-capable missiles to Kaliningrad, testing nuclear-capable weapons, advising its citizens to be prepared in case of attack, large scale civil defence drills and large scale military drills. Firstly, may I just say that if I were looking to be awarded something from a corrupt body that I would not tell everyone listening how corrupt I believe them to be. So, congratulations to Russia, one of my favourite countries, on knowing how to win a World Cup bid.  In Russia, journalists get shot when they report something the state doesn’t agree with.  Ask Anna Politkovskaya.
